People assume that RVs have temperature control, or climate control, but they don’t necessarily assume the same for vans. Especially depending on the conversion. Some vans resemble passenger vehicles, and some look like a high-end RV. Ours is a mix.

So depending on your van, letting others know that your van has temperature control, or climate control, is pretty important. You can get our temperature, or climate control stickers directly from us, or on Etsy.

I never considered the necessity of advertising this until a friend in California alerted me to the potential threat of a smashed window. In California, it is legal to smash vehicle windows if pets are inside.

To ensure the safety of our furry friends on the road, we must take extra precautions. Laws in some states even allow onlookers to break car windows if they suspect a pet is in danger. A major step to ensure their well-being is to prominently display “This Van is Climate Controlled” stickers. During long road trips or hot summer days, it’s better to be safe than sorry when it comes to our pets.

‘This Van is Climate Controlled’ Bumper Stickers

I realized the importance of having a temperature control, or climate control, bumper sticker during our trip to Sedona, where temperatures soared over 95Β°F. We resorted to using scraps of paper with “This Van is Climate Controlled” hastily written in Sharpie and taped to our side windows. It did the job, but let’s just say it wasn’t the most professional look.

I searched high and low for a temperature control, or climate control sticker for our van, but my efforts were in vain. Despite searching for terms like “climate control sticker” and “climate control bumper sticker,” I couldn’t find anything available to purchase. It was disappointing to realize that there wasn’t an easy solution to let others know about our van’s climate control system.

But, we’ve become quite skilled at making our own products at Sprinterfam. Like back in 2019 when we realized that front double bunk beds didn’t exist. We made them. And they are beyond fantastic, we could not Van Life without them. Where would our kids sleep?!

So we did it again, we designed climate control stickers.

We Place the Temperature Control Stickers on All Sides of our Van

The adage “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure” exists for a reason. Therefore, we place a sticker on each side of our van, on our windows. Why? Because our pets could be looking out any window, and our van could be parked at any angle. So putting stickers on all sides leaves no room for mistake. It keeps our minds at ease, and our van windows intact. Plus, I couldn’t imagine how traumatizing it would be for our pets to be fake-rescued out of their van home (vome).

To ensure the safety of furry family members traveling in vans, we prioritize spreading awareness about the need for climate control stickers on vehicles. That’s why we offer a package of four stickers, one for each side of your van. Alternatively, you can purchase a single sticker if that suits your needs better.
